Muskie Community Center Manager: Muskie Community Center, Waterville: Full-Time Salary Position.
The purpose of the position is to: (1) provide consumers a high quality, smooth and efficient operation on each visit to the center for any reason by assuring all programs sharing the space are working in a coordinated effort and that the building and grounds are safe and in good condition; (2) run an appealing Activity Program for a variety of participants and; (3) as volunteer liaison, supports existing Center volunteers and actively seeks new volunteers for all aspects of the Muskie Community Center activities.
The Center Manager is expected to develop an effective team of staff, volunteers, and local community members.
The Center Manager is responsible for supervising the Office Manager, and Activities Program staff, and for tracking of revenue and expenditures in the designated programs. The relationship with the other center staff is that of a team leader in the day-to-day activities. As the Center Manager, the incumbent may be called upon to explain the Center's policies and procedures to staff, volunteers, participants and members of the public.
Education Requirements:
- AA Degree in Human Services, Business or related field.
- 2 years progressively more responsible work experience to include business management and supervision in a geriatric setting.
- Passing score on Level II computer test (e-mail, basic Word, basic navigation of web for research, create and use Excel spreadsheet and ability to enter data and query a preset database.)
- Skills in graphic arts desired.
Adult DayBreak CRMA Activity Aide: William S. Cohen Community Center, Hallowell.
Part-time 25 hrs/wk Days M-F
We are looking for a caring individual to work in our Adult DayBreak Program. Great hours for family life; a place to enjoy a rewarding position with fun in your daily work; 40 hour CRMA certification is preferred.
The purpose of this position is to assist in conducting and planning sessions of therapeutic activities. Provide general health assistance to the program's frail, disabled and cognitively impaired adults who participate as a group or individually in recreational and socialization activities and activities of daily living designed to encourage maximum independence of all participants.
Education Requirements:
- High School graduate
- 1-2 years of experience working as a CRMA and participating in an
- activity program with frail and disabled adults.
- Possession of valid CRMA Certificate (40 hr course).
- DSP certified or has one (1) year from date of hire to obtain.
- First Aide, and CPR Certificates preferred.
- Passing Level II computer test
