Volunteers Honored at State House Hall of Flags |
Spectrum Generations volunteers Patricia Oh (2nd from left) and George Moore (2nd from right ) were honored as recipients of the 2008 Governor’s Service Awards recently at the State House Hall of Flags in Augusta. They were joined by their spouses – William Oh and Ada Moore – as well as Sagadahoc Senator Paula Benoit, who was delighted to present them with a Legislative Sentiment. Patricia and George are active volunteers with our Meals on Wheels program, providing vital services every day. Thank you, George and Patricia! For the past twenty-one years, the Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards have been awarded to celebrate and recognize the exemplary work of Maine’s most dedicated citizens. “Spectrum Generations is thrilled that two of our hard working volunteers were recognized by the Governor and the Maine Commission on Community Service for their unflagging support of Meals on Wheels,” commented Debbie Atwood, Nutrition Coordinator. “We couldn’t do it without them and the other 60 volunteers who give their time to this and other programs every week here in the Brunswick area.” |
