8th Annual Muskie Center Golf Tournament for Meals on Wheels
(Greater Waterville Area – June 1, 2010) Spectrum Generations is hosting its 8th Annual Muskie Center Golf Tournament for Meals on Wheels on Monday, June 14, 2010 at Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro. Check-in is at 11:00a.m., with a shot-gun start at 12:00p.m. Join us for a fun day of golf, fabulous prizes, and priceless bragging rights!
As fun as this event is, its purpose is to provide additional funds to support the homebound individuals who receive Meals on Wheels in Northern Kennebec and Somerset counties. The 350 plus individuals in these two counties receive 5 balanced meals per week, which is a staggering 1,750 meals. Overall, Spectrum Generations served 193,224 meals in 2009 to homebound and disabled people across central Maine.
You can help the people in your community and have a great day of golf and prizes at the same time. Pull some golf buddies together to make a foursome, or sign up to play as an individual and join us at Natanis Golf Course.
Players fees are $75 for an individual, $300 for a foursome, and $60 for Natanis members, and there are sponsor opportunities available from $50 to $500.
If you don't golf, but still want to help, you could sponsor a player, a team, or become an event sponsor. If you wish to help but are unable to meet the sponsorship levels, a contribution in any amount will make a difference.
