                          New Faces at Spectrum Generations

                                 

There are a number of shiny new faces at Spectrum Generations.  Some are filling empty positions, while others have been hired to fill the need of expanding services.  All are welcome!

 

It took some time to find the right person for the job, but Spectrum Generations is very happy to introduce Diane Woodworth as its new Development Director. Diane (to the right in photo) is a Certified Fundraising Executive with over 25 years of experience in the field.   She is a Maine native and a graduate from University of Maine, Augusta.  Her most recent position was as Director of Development for the New Hampshire Humanities Council in Concord, NH.  Julie Sexton, Volunteer Manager/Grant Writer (left), Diane Woodworth, Development Director  (right)We feel fortunate that she moved back to Maine to be closer to family.  Her past work in Maine includes Director of Philanthropy and Public Affairs at Mount Desert Hospital (2005-2008) and Development Manager at The Jackson Laboratory (1999-2005). 

 

The new position of Volunteer Manager/Grant Writer was created to fill the need of coordinating our vast team of wonderful volunteers and assist the Development Director with grant writing.  We are delighted to announce Julie Sexton has been hired to fill this combination position.  Julie (to the left in photo above) graduated with a BS from the University of Maine, Farmington this year.  Julie resides in Winthrop and comes to us from Franklin Memorial Hospital where she was the Development Assistant working on annual appeals and fundraising events as well as working with volunteers.

 

Rachel Allian, Spectrum Generations Personal Services SupervisorSpectrum Generations Bridges Help at Home Division also recently expanded it services along the mid-coast region from Brunswick to Belfast and is pleased to welcome Rachel McAllian as a new Personal Services Supervisor to cover the Southern Kennebec region.  Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management from Husson University and previously worked at the MaineCare Pharmacy Help Desk.  Rachel has volunteered for the Red Cross and was involved with organizing relief packages going to Haiti. 

 

Amanda Simonds. Adult DayBreak Activities AideAmanda Simonds was recently promoted from the position of Personal Services Specialist (PSS) for Spectrum Generations Bridges Help at Home Division, to Adult DayBreak Activities Aide.  Amanda was hired by Bridges as a PSS in August 2011 and proved herself to be an invaluable member of the team; dedicated to the needs of her home care clients.  Amanda’s BA in Social Work and previous experience as an Ed Tech, Customer Service Representative, Behavioral Specialist and CNA, make her a valuable asset to Spectrum Generations Adult DayBreak Program. 

Lynn Boardway, Consumer Information SpecialistLynn Broadway is our most recent new face at Spectrum Generations.  Lynn has fit right in from day one and is quickly getting up to speed as a Consumer Information Specialist.   Our Consumer Information Specialists listen and access consumer’s concerns and problems, explore the consumer’s own resources, and then helps connect them with the programs, services, and referral sources they need to remain independent in their own homes.   Cutting through red tape is their specialty. 

 

 

We warmly welcome these new team members into the Spectrum Generations family!
