TIME TO CELEBRATE!
On behalf of Spectrum Generations, and our Meals on Wheels program, we want so say thank you!
We are cognizant of the challenges facing many in the food service industry, and therefore have cancelled this year’s Celebrity Chef Challenge – in lieu of our annual fundraiser for Meals on Wheels, we are taking this opportunity to virtually support those small businesses and community partners who have supported this event in the past!
It's our turn to give back and recognize those who have supported us!
Did someone say pizza? If you haven’t tried Oysterhead Pizza on Main Street in Damariscotta, you must! Using homemade dough, sauce, meatballs, and farm-to-table ingredients Nick and the crew at Oysterhead will serve up fare that is sure to please your palate.
Oysterhead Pizza is open Thursday-Monday for takeout, or you can dine outside on their patio that overlooks the water! To view their menu or to order a pizza online visit www.oysterheadpizzaco.com.

Merrymeeting Gleaners have donated a number of boxes of produce to our annual Celebrity Chef Challenge event. The Merrymeeting Gleaners was created in 2016 as a project of the Merrymeeting Food Council. This mostly volunteer organization collects surplus produce from local farms and farmers markets several times a week and donates it to organizations serving people experiencing food insecurity.
We are asking for your help – to give back to those who support us! Merrymeeting Gleaners is in need of volunteers to help glean and distribute produce. If you are interested please contact Kelly at [email protected].
We caught up with Spectrum Generations’ 2016 Celebrity Chef Challenge judge’s winner, Chef Justin Bard, who brings many years of elevated culinary experience and a drive to innovate and capitalize on Maine’s rich farm and food heritage.
Due to #COVID-19, the restaurant has been temporarily closed. During this time, Justin and the crew have been busy farming, renovating, redecorating, revamping menu concepts, and doing everything they can to ensure a safe experience for their customers.
Meridians Kitchen and Bar will reopen its doors tomorrow, August 5! The restaurant will be open 4:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and open on Sunday for brunch from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. To view their menu or to order online visit https://www.meridians.me.
Emery Farm who has donated an abundance of produce to our annual Celebrity Chef Challenge event. Emery Farm is located on a picturesque dead end road in the small #TownofWayne, where a decade ago, farmer Trent Emery, first began his growing season.
Much has changed recently but one thing that hasn’t changed is their belief in the farm’s capacity to feed our #community.
With the season underway, the farm is gearing up for the 10-week fall CSA program – to begin on September 18. The produce in your weekly share is washed, individually packaged, and labeled with your name for a minimal contact pick up.
