Making a Charitable Bequest In Your Will

(Central Maine Area Agency on Aging d/b/a Spectrum Generations – EIN 01-0318051)
In your will, you can name Spectrum Generations or any Community Center or ADRC Office in the Spectrum Generations family as your beneficiary.

Choices To Consider With A Gift of a Bequest In Your Will

When including a gift to Spectrum Generations in your will, you help ensure our mission of serving older and disabled adults across Central Maine while creating powerful benefits for yourself. You can make a charitable bequest for a specific dollar amount or for a percentage of your estate. You can direct your charitable bequest for a specific purpose or as unrestricted to be used in the most beneficial way for Spectrum Generations.

Benefits That Come With a Gift of a Bequest In Your Will

A bequest offers key benefits to you as a donor:

  • Advantageous: You may receive a charitable estate tax deduction that excludes the amount of your bequest from your taxable estate

  • Versatile: Your bequest can be for a specified dollar amount or a percentage of your estate’s value and you can direct your gift to be used for general or specific purposes

  • Significant: Because the charitable bequest comes after your lifetime, you can make a significant gift without affecting your current income or cash flow
